Pocket knives are essential for camping. Whether you are making food, setting up a tent, or sharpening twigs, pocket knives are a survival tool outdoors. There are so many ways you can use a pocket knife such as cutting ropes of different lengths and sharpening twigs.

First Aid

Pocket knives can be used to cut bandages and wrap tourniquets to a proper length and coverage for the injury. You can never be sure when an accident can occur and thus it is useful to have a pocket knife in hand. Pocket knives can also be used to carve messages on tiles, and wood in the event of an emergency such as a terrorist attack or if you are stranded in the woods.

Opening A Bottle

Pocket knives are also useful tools for opening bottles. Have you ever encountered a beer cap that just cannot be unscrewed? If you do not have a bottle opener, a pocket knife will work just fine as you can use the blade to pop off the top of the bottle.

Cutting Meat

Your pocket knife is also useful if you need a tool to cut meat or fillet fish. If you are camping outdoors and have caught a deer, a pocket knife is necessary for skinning the deer and removing the bones.
