The Chive series Kershaw knives features a high-carbon 420HC stainless steel blade which is good for holding an edge, easy sharpening and strength. A 410 stainless steel handle, SpeedSafe ambidextrous opening system for smooth, easy opening, safety tip lock to ensure the blade stays securely inside the handle until the user releases it, and a removable pocket clip for easy carrying. This knife measures 2-7/8 (7.3 cm) closed, with a 1-15/16 (4.9 cm) blade. The Chive is less than three inches long which is perfect for pocket carry.
